All breeding birds, their nests and eggs are legally protected under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985.
ATEC will assess the habitats on the site for breeding and nesting birds, identify any rare breeding birds on the site, identify any birds nesting in trees or hedgerows on the site and list all birds seen or heard in the vicinity of the site on the day of the survey.

A full list of bird species will be recorded and the relevant RSPB Conservation criteria noted for individual species.
